What's the Best Time to Get Physically Fit?
Scientists discovered that late afternoon is the best time to workout even though the benefits are minimal.
After I got there and warmed up it wasn't so bad. Well one day I decided to change my routine and I went to work out in the evening, after work and immediately I noticed a difference. My energy level was a lot higher as was my endurance. I also noticed that it did not take me 15 to 20 minutes to warm up like it did in the morning. Once I started my workout I was close to maximum output almost immediately. I know everyone has their own preference. Some people will say they are more energized in the morning and others the evening. I have heard people say that after work they have no energy to work out at all.
It turns out that late evenings, between 4pm and 7pm are the best times to work out. When I work out in the evening I find that I don't have to spend as much time warming up; my body feels like it is already warmed up and ready to go. Even the stretching is a lot easier during this time. Stretching in the morning feels like somebody hooked you up to one of those racks and proceeded to stretch you.

The advantage for me is that I don't have to spend as much time doing the preliminary things which means I can target more of my time towards actually working out. Your body can however adjust to the time you chose. It is better to work out at any time that no time at all. The article did say that even though late afternoon was the better time to work out the advantages were minimal. But I say if I can feel a lot better right at the beginning of a workout then that represents a huge advantage for me.
