National Slipper Day: Proceeds Benefit Breast Cancer Sufferers
A new campaign has begun to help make the final wishes of those suffering from Metastatic Breast Cancer come true. It involves a simple pair of slippers. Read the rest of this article to see how you can participate and help make a dying man or woman's dream come true.
The Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation decided to create a partnership with the Dearfoams Company. The main purpose is to raise money to help those suffering from metastatic breast cancer create some lasting memories with their friends and family. These patients may not have the chance to make these memories due to lack of finances. The medical costs can easily eat up all savings and make it almost impossible for families to afford anything else. The Dearfoams Company is responsible for creating a pink ribbon slipper. With the sale of each pair of slippers a percent of the profits will go directly to making someone's wish come true.
To help spread the word a "National Slipper Day" was created. This day is set for October 26th. Businesses, families, and churches are urged to contribute $2 each and wear their own pink slippers on that day, or to purchase a pair of pink ribbon slippers from the Dearfoams Company.
