Mile High Music Festival Lineup Announced
As the weather gets warmer out, more and more outdoor music festivals are popping up all across the country.
The concert, which will be the largest in state history will feature an All-Star lineup.
Among those headliners include Tom Petty and the Heart-breakers, Dave Matthews Band, and John Mayer. They will be joined by Steve Winwood, The Black Crowes, O.A.R, Colbie Calit, Flogging Molly, and the Roots.
The show will be spread out onto 5 stages and will also give local bands a chance to showcase their talents. Those bands include Flood, Meese, Rose Hill Drive, and much more. According to the Tickets go on sale on March 29 at 10am Mountain time through tickethorse.com and MileHighMusicFestival.com.
The lineup that will be featured at the Mile High Festival is one that will provide fans with a lot of entertainment. They will get to see Hall of Famers in Tom Petty, and future Hall of Famers in Dave Matthews. The general age of fans for most of these acts are pretty widespread, so the show has its appeal to everyone. This is unlike some other outdoor music festivals that only appeal to certain age groups.
Bamboozle is a show that comes around once a year as well, but showcases younger emo-punk bands like Bayside, Hawthorne Heights, and Sum 41. On the other side of the coin, Farm Aid makes its way around at the general interest of an older generation, featuring acts such as Willie Nelson, The Allman Brothers Band, and Neil Young.
Other music festivals that make their way around the country also have their niches, such as Ozzfest which specifically caters to those in the metal genre. But the Mile High Festival seems to be one that can have a little bit of everything. Fans will get rock and roll, pop, and and light rock all in one show. I absolutely think that this will be a successful festival and something that repeats in the coming years.
