Campaign
The campaign part of the game is for only one player. You are a SEAL. You and your partner, who is just a bystander and does little, go on missions trying to save the world from terrorists.
"In this theater of operations you are a two-man Fireteam. Prepare to confront your enemy. Never hesitate to act for the good of the mission and your teammate in every combat scenario. It's all about Command, Courage, and Country." This quote is from the Socom instruction manual.
Online
In the online version you go online and play against people all over the world. There are five different types of games. Suppression, which is a fight to the death between SEALs and terrorist. In this game you can come back to life in a few seconds. Free for all, is terrorist against terrorists. Extraction, when you have to rescue hostages. Demolition, where you have to find the bomb and blow up the oppositions headquarters. And last captive. Captive is the same thing as suppression but instead of coming alive in a few second a teammates has to come and revive you.
Great Video Game
When this game first came out it was an awesome game. Everyone wanted to play it. My brothers bought it and played it all the time. I had to fight to get a chance to play!
I've always liked the SEALs and this game is a chance where I get to be the SEAL. It is like real life. You don't always win, the bad guys win a lot, and you really have to work at it to be the best.
For me I like the campaigns the best. I don't do very well playing online. I'm not good enough. And now a days everyone has learned how to hack and cheat while they play. They've made playing online no fun. As I'm sure you surmised I don't hack.
This video game was well thought out and made. It can teach something to the young people who play it. And maybe the game will encourage other young men to join the Navy and try out to be a SEAL.
