Reebok Runtone Shoe Review
How do Reebok Runtone shoes compare to the Skechers shape-up shoes? I was willing to spend $100 on the Runtone shoes because of all the great stuff Ive heard. How the shoes performed during an hour-long run. Why you wont be sacrificing style
After wearing Skechers Shape Ups walking shoes for almost a year, it was time to buy a nice pair of running shoes.
In the back of my mind, I knew I wanted Reebok but was not sure where I had heard good things about the running shoe. I know I've heard a lot of talk about which is better or Easytone versus Shape-up shoes.
I purchased my Reebok Runtone shoes from the Outlet Mall in my area. I wanted to opt for the Runtone instead of the Easytone since I plan to use them for running.
What shocked me was my conversation with my younger sister the next day. We had never talked about Reebok before, but she had purchased the same exact Runtone shoe. What's even more eerie is the fact she bought the exact same color!
So, what's so special about Reebok Runtone that we both were willing to smack down $100 in two different parts of the country?
Evidently the shoes are "balance ball inspired" with a special technology that creates micro-instability. I'm not sure what that means, but I know they are easy on my feet when I run on hard surfaces.
Supposedly the Runtone shoes will tone and strengthen key leg muscles.
I love the style and color of my Runtone shoes that are pink, silver and white. My sister said she chose Reebok because she was tired of the way her Skechers Shape Up shoes looked with such as large rolling bottoms.
Reebok also make Easy tone for walking and Zigtech, which have crazy looking zig zag bottoms.
I have to say, so far, I'm extremely pleased with my Reebok Runtone shoes. I liked my Shape-up shoes by Skecher as well, but they were not really meant for running. I was not fond of their Skecher Shape up sandals or flip flops after a few weeks of wearing them.
Most runners just want to feel as though their shoes are protecting them from the rough surfaces. The Reebok does that and also look fashionable. I love wearing shoes that make me feel like I could run forever without growing tired and Reebok Runtone gave me that feeling even though I only ran for an hour in them.
For style and performance, I give the Reebok Runtone shoes 5 out of 5 stars.
